Selection of Suitable Waste
Not all types of hazardous waste can be disposed of in cement kilns. The waste must meet specific criteria, such as its calorific value and physical characteristics, to be suitable for co-processing in cement kilns.

Preparation of Waste
The hazardous waste is usually pre-processed to make it suitable for combustion. This may involve shredding, blending, or mixing the waste to ensure a consistent and controlled feed into the kiln.

Advance then Incineration
The waste is introduced into the cement kiln as part of the fuel feed. The high temperatures in the kiln (up to 1800°C) can effectively break down hazardous organic compounds and destroy them. The heat generated during the process is used in the cement production process.

Destruction and Emission Control
Advanced emission control systems are used to ensure that the combustion process is efficient and that hazardous emissions are minimized. This typically involves the use of scrubbers, bag filters, and other technologies to capture pollutants.

Testing and Monitoring
Rigorous testing and monitoring are carried out to ensure that final Product meet the kiln environmental standards and that the hazardous waste has been effectively destroyed.
